I’ve got a problem — how do I fix it?
Start with the miss that’s hurting. The ball never lies: its flight is a report on what the club did at impact. The Decoder reads that report and hands you one clear change and a 5-ball test — then tells you honestly whether your problem is even the thing costing you most strokes.
The Decoder reads ball flight. Pick the miss that’s costing you, answer four quick questions about what the ball actually does, and it reads what must be happening at impact — from our trained ball-flight model, nothing generic.
The ball responds to what the club is doing at impact: where the face points, where the path travels, and where the swing bottoms out. Start direction, curve and contact are a report card printed in the air. The Decoder reads that report against a trained rule model — the same logic a good coach runs in their head.
Because those are the problems ball flight can actually decode. Putting woes, chipping problems, nerves and 'general inconsistency' don't have a ball-flight signature — they need a different kind of diagnosis. That's what the Bottleneck Assessment does, and the Decoder will tell you so rather than guess.
Not necessarily — and this is where most instruction goes wrong. A symptom you notice most is not automatically the constraint costing you most. Fix the slice by all means; then let the assessment check where your scores are actually leaking.
